Home to 2,000 natural sandstone arches, Arches National Park in Southern Utah is a fragile ecosystem in the Colorado Plateau. The arches and other geologic features, caused by erosion, form an ever-changing landscape. Several notable park features are expected to be short-lived - in geologic terms - due to the impact of the arid winds that shape the land.
