At the base of Bridalveil Fall, the runoff from the falls creates cascades of icy waters as they cut through the forests on the way to joining the Merced River.

This photo was taken with fading light from the thick overcast above, in pouring rain. The challenge was finding solid footing as the ground was thoroughly soaked.
