Our first evening in Big Bend ended with this view through the mountain opening called "The Window".

Layers of mountains folded into a golden sky, the mid February temperature hovered in the 70's. The chatter of mockingbirds pressed well into the still night. Soon, it will be time to spot the Milky Way and set up for astral photography...
