White Boulder Entrance, Grand Staircase Escalante National Monument, UT (September 19, 2016, 8:37 am)
Like the previous image, my fascination with this photograph is in the inherent quality of the lighting present in the scene. This image has a silvery quality to me and something that I strive for in my black & white work.
The large white boulder makes for a nice anchor in the frame with the eye naturally following past it to the darkened corridor between the tall canyon walls.
