Anywhere else on the planet, this place would easily qualify as a national park, but in the shadow of the immense Canyonlands National Park that is adjoining and Arches National Park on the other side of the highway, Dead Horse Point can be easily overlooked. But it has remarkable views of the Colorado River, the same river that only a few hundred miles away carved the Grand Canyon.
