Closed for the Season, Warehouse District, New Orleans, LA (March 22, 2008, 9:05 am)
While walking through the Warehouse District of New Orleans on our way to the World War II Museum, we passed this scene between buildings. I did my best to press my camera lens up against the chain link fence, and hoped for the best.
Sometimes, things work out pretty well. This is the type of subject matter that (other than landscapes and wildlife) I could commit a lifetime of work to.
I see this as a beautiful scene: all of the textures, the colors and the mood of a bygone era.
