The Vermilion Cliffs National Monument is located in extreme northern Arizona, just south of the Utah Border.
A largely unspoiled landscape, Vermilion Cliffs attracts smaller numbers of visitors due to its remoteness and difficult accessibility. White Pocket, is one suck destination where the nearest highway is 40 miles away and high clearance vehicles plow through deep desert sands to make the journey. But at the end of the trip is a landscape unlike any other. Gnarled, twisted mounds of streaked sandstone, mixed with white stone bubbles paint the long journey of geologic evolution that has taken place at White Pocket.
