Nicholas Conservatory & Gardens, Rockford, IL (June 26, 2015, 1:15pm)
Making photographs in a conservatory can be quite warm. And very humid. But above all, there is no wind to destroy otherwise good shots.
And so on a cloudy day in June interrupted by off-and-on rain, this image was made with diffused overhead sky light and perfectly still air, which rarely happens outdoors. Being able to eliminate the variables of wind and rain was liberating.
