Lower Calf Creek Falls, Grand Staircase Escalante National Monument, UT (September 15, 2016, 11:43 am)
If I lived in the area, I could see this being a destination I'd love to see once a week - just to see this setting in every season, in every lighting situation and in all weather conditions.
I've read that it's an early morning destination and that by mid afternoon, the surrounding cliffs project harsh shadows across the face of the falls. I would love to return to start the hike at about 4:00am to arrive pre-dawn to photograph the falls under full open sky.
