In the
Alabama Hills foothills of the Sierra Nevada, just outside of Lone Pine, California, my wife Sheryl and I arrived after a very successful sunrise session photographing the mountain range from along Rt. 395. Shortly after 8:00am, a morning storm approached from the west, just south of Sequoia National Park.
I loved the blend of bright sunrise and the looming storm and was happy with the resulting image that retained important detail in both highlights and shadows. It captured the wild lighting that occurs before and after storms.
